Flags To Fly At Half-Staff Today To Honor Lance Cpl. Hunter Hogan

(BROWNSTOWN) - Brownstown Chamber of Commerce is asking its members and others to fly and display the U.S. flag Friday at half-staff to honor the memory of a Brownstown Central High School graduate killed June 23 while serving with the U. S. Marines in Afghanistan.

A memorial service for Lance Cpl. Hunter D. Hogan, 21, is planned for noon Friday at Brownstown Community Church, 117 W. Tanner St.

The Jackson County Veteran's Office received notice that a half-staff order from Gov. Mitch Daniels' office on Thursday in connection with Hogan's death.
