(FREETOWN) - Organizers of the annual Freetown July Festival met recently to complete plans for this year’s event.
The festival begins at 6 p.m. Friday and finishes with a fireworks dis¬play starting at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. New to the festival this year are a costume photo booth and an expanded car show to include anything on wheels.
Additional highlights of planned events include a baby contest, a tractor drive, cloggers, parade, Public Option local classic rock band, a corn hole tournament and clogging.
"The annual festival has a long running tradition in the Freetown community," Debbie Ridlen of the festival committee said. " In keeping with tradition, the committee is planning food booths, ice cream, children's games and craft booths to offer festival-goers a fun family experience."
Vendors interested in booth space may contact Janet Smith at 497-3168.
