(MEDORA) - A Jackson County teenager was killed Thursday evening after the vehicle he was driving struck a semi head-on just northwest of Medora, police said.
Officer Adam Nicholson with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, said Ethan Underwood, 18, of Medora was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck which occurred just after 6:30 p.m. in the 8400 block of West U.S. 50, two miles west of the Medora junction.
Police say Underwood was traveling west on U.S. 50 in 2001 Ford Taurus when his vehicle collided with a semi trailer. Underwood was killed. The driver of the semi, David Nguyen, 28 of Norfolk, Va., was not injured in the wreck.
Underwood graduated from Brownstown Central High School in May and was known to show cattle at the Jackson County Fair.
