(INDIANAPOLIS) - Lt. Governor Becky Skillman’s Symposium on Rural Philanthropy will provide community leaders real ideas for rural philanthropy.
The Symposium will take place on Tuesday, July 17 from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Columbus (Formerly the Holiday Inn).
Sessions are designed to help create partnership opportunities and offer ideas to encourage clients, families and residents to give back and invest in their rural communities.
"Although vast improvements have been made over the years in our rural communities, there is still more work to be done," Lt. Governor Becky Skillman said. "It requires that everyone has seat at the table to ensure rural communities remain viable and prosperous for generations come."

Dr. Michael Hicks - Director of Ball State's Center for Business and Economic Research will further discuss his Indiana Community Asset and Index Ranking study.
More information on breakout sessions, the day's agenda and a registration form are available on the Office of Community and Rural Affairs web site. Space is limited.
