(ORLEANS) - Orleans Town and Orleans Chamber of Commerce officials are gearing up for the town’s upcoming Community Visioning Workshop or Charrette, which is set for this coming Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The workshop is being held in conjunction with Ball State University who is working with both the town and chamber this summer to create an new Comprehensive Plan, entitled, "Imagine Orleans."
All of the public workshop sessions will be held at the Orleans Christian Church's Unity Hall and will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday. However there are no set times and all Orleans residents are being encouraged to participate.
Orleans Town Clerk Robert F. Henderson said the main goal of the event is improving the overall quality of life for Orleans, and by doing so community involvement is our strategy. We are looking for any type of ideas for enhancing our Hometown of Orleans. Participants can stay for a just a few minutes or all three days.
