(PAOLI) - Paoli High School staff members are coming to the aid of one of their own, Laura Balsmeyer, who is hospitalized with a serious illness.
Laura is the study hall supervisor and cheer club sponsor at PHS; her husband, Brian Balsmeyer, is the school's head football coach and teaches advanced physical education.
"Many people have asked how they can help the Balsmeyer family," PHS librarian Brenda Eubank wrote in an e-mail. "We are going to take free-will donations for 'prayer squares' and 'cheer cards.'"
Brenda explained, "Each time a person donates ... we're going to make a fabric square."
Those donating also can sign a card for Laura. Donations can be made at the PHS office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or at the football locker room from 5-7 p.m. today through July 20. Questions can be directed to Brenda or to Pam Minton at the high school office; the number is (812) 723-3905.
