(UNDATED) - The driest summer since 1988 has homeowners seeing a lot of brown in their lawn and asking what they can do to preserve the grass.
Jackson County Purdue Extension Spokesman Richard Beckhort says reseeding in most cases will fix the problem.
An ideal time would be in September, which gives the lawn all winter to help develop a root system.
