(BLOOMINGTON) - The public is invited to participate in a “Week of Service” with the City of Bloomington Council for Community Accessibility.
The week takes place July 23rd through July 27th, in conjunction with the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Volunteers are needed to help survey various locations in Bloomington to determine sites' accessibility for people with disabilities.
Individuals are asked to work in groups for a four-hour shift sometime during the week of service.
The week will conclude with a celebratory cookout on Friday, July 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Woodlawn Shelter in Bryan Park, located at the intersection of South Woodlawn Avenue and East Sheridan Drive.
No training is necessary to help with the Week of Service. To participate, contact Alexa Lopez at alopez69@ivytech.edu. Details will be sent to you once you RSVP.
