(MITCHELL) - Local residents who appreciate nostalgia are stopping in to dine at the Hub restaurant, which is back at the Mitchell location where it originally began operating in 1968.
Howard Hinman, who now owns the restaurant and whose father Ron Hinman originally owned says, more nostalgia is in the works.
A sign showing an image of the Hub Boy, the restaurant's logo, is going up at the restaurant.
Howard says the sign is designed by by Jay Fiddler, from Johnny's Signs, who did the original artwork for the Hub Boy 40-plus years ago when the Hub first opened.
The restaurant, on Ind. 60 East, had operated under various names since Ron sold it. Most recently it was known as Mitchell Family Restaurant.
The owners have done a complete overhaul of the kitchen and more than doubled it in size. They started the business with four employees, with the owners cooking, but now employee 25 both full time and part-time employees and are looking to hire more.
