(PAOLI) - Today is the deadline for registering to attend the Paoli Moveable Feast planned by Historic Landmarks for July 13.
The event, which includes a meal, will take participants to three historic sites in Paoli. The cost to participate is $35 per person for those who are members of Indiana Landmarks.
The cost to non-members is $50, but the price includes membership in Indiana Landmarks. Those interested in participating can register online or by calling Indiana Landmarks Southern Regional Office.
The tour will feature a walk of the Paoli courthouse. New brochures for the Paoli Historic District will be distributed as participants leave the courthouse.
The Orange County Historical Society Museum, on the northwest corner of the square, will be open for those who choose to visit it.
Appetizers will be served beginning at 5 p.m. in an area near the Lost River Market and Deli just off the northeast corner of the Paoli square, which is part of the town's historic district.
Dinner will follow at the 1927 Paoli High School, which was adapted by Hoosier Uplands last year for use as apartments; the building's auditorium has been preserved as space for community events.
The evening will conclude with dessert at 8 p.m. at an 1881 Methodist church -- more recently Central Baptist Church -- that was rescued by SHOC and is being re-purposed as a reception and meeting hall.
