(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craigs says the jail is reducing visits with inmates from three days a week to two days each week.
Starting July 16th, visitation days will be Tuesdays and Sundays.
There will no longer be visitation on Thursdays. Craig says the visits will be increased from 10 to 15 minutes each session so people will be able to visit with inmates the same amount of time each week. Children will continue to visit with families on Sundays.
Inmates have been notified of the changes and Craig says he has not received any complaints.
Jail personnel will try to notify friends and family who visit of the change during the upcoming visitation sessions.
