(WASHINGTON) - On Wednesday at 4:41 p.m, George E. Miller, 15, of Washington, was turning a 2000 Ez-Go golf cart owned by Joseph R. and Evelyn K. Knepp, Cannelburg, on a steep hill on George and Second streets in Montgomery and overturned.
Miller was trapped underneath the cart and suffered a severe laceration of a finger that, according to the accident report, required surgery at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis. Another youth suffered a head contusion, and three other young males were riding on the cart but were not injured.
Law enforcement was not informed of the accident until an employee of Daviess Community Hospital's ER called police. The golf cart was removed and pictures were taken at the scene of the accident.
