(PAOLI) - Six people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday about four miles north of Paoli on Ind. 37.
A news release from the Orange County Sheriff's Department did not provide the specific nature of injuries for any of those who were hurt.
The release reported Christine Crecelius, 43, and Bryce Bledsoe, 11, both of French Lick, were taken to St. Vincent's Dunn Hospital in Bedford for injuries. Also injured were Sam Wollenhaupt, 42, Jesse Dennis, 17, Pearl Dennis, 1, and Beckham Dennis, 11, all of Spokane, Wash. They were taken by ambulance to Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital;
Beckham Dennis later was taken by ambulance to Kosair Hospital in Louisville.
The accident took place at about 3:30 p.m.
The news release reports James Dennis was driving a 2009 Jeep Patriot and was traveling north when he stopped to turn in to a private driveway on the west side of the road.
Crecelius was operating a 1999 Ford F150 with an attached horse trailer when her vehicle struck Dennis' vehicle in the rear. Evidence at the scene indicated Dennis did not have his turn signal activated at the time of the accident.
Also responding to the scene were the Orleans Police Department, the Paoli Fire Department, Orange County Rural District II Fire Department.
