(GUTHRIE) - 28-year-old Justin Chastain, of Bedford, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment after he crashed into another vehicle Friday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, Chastain was traveling east on Guthrie Road and was looking toward the woods, because he is a deer hunter, when his 2007 Ford truck drifted across the center line.
38-year-old Jamey Young, of Springville, was traveling west on Guthrie Road and honked the horn to alert the other driver they were across the center line.
Chastain's truck sideswipped Young's 2000 Jeep, then Chastain's truck hit the guard rail.
Young suffered a possible broken right hand and complained of pain. Young's mother-in-law, whose name was not mentioned, and was in the backseat of the Jeep sprained her left arm and thumb.
Assisting at the scene were two ambulances from St. Vincent Dunn Hospital and emergency crews from Marshall Volunteer Fire Department.
