(PATOKA) - The Patoka Lake 21st Annual Star Party is rescheduled for Saturday, from 6 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. at the Patoka Lake Beach.
Enjoy a special presentation by members of the Louisville & Evansville Astronomical Societies and the Stonebelt Stargazers of Bedford, as they share their knowledge of the sky above.
There will be kid's activities from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. followed by telescope observing and night
sky information.
The Perseid Meteor shower will start showing on this night.
Join this free event as the experts of the night sky share information and spectacular views.
The beach will open at 5p.m. and close at the end of this event. Swimming is still not permitted due to hazardous swimming conditions along the shoreline.
The entrance fee of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents ($7 out of state) is required for the Newton Stewart State Recreation Area, Patoka Reservoir, located north of Wickliffe Indiana, Highway 164.
