(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington man was injured after he crashed his 2008 Ford Escape into a tree Friday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report 26-year-old Mark Bunch, of Bloomington, had minor bleeding to his knee and lower leg.
Police say Bunch had slurred speech, poor dexterity and blood shot eyes when they went to the crash scene and believe Bunch was driving while intoxicated.
According to police, Bunch was traveling north on State Road 37 and went through the median and across traffic and continued traveling off the west side of the roadway until his car hit a fence and tree.
Bunch was taken to IU Health Hospital Bedford for treatment. The accident is still under investigation and blood-alcohol test are pending.
