(PAOLI) - The Orange County Republican Central Committee held a caucus Friday to elect a replacement for former Orange County Auditor Bill Mathers.
Mathers' resignation became effective August 19th. Republican Auditor Elect Candidate Donna Atchison was elected to fill-in.
Atchison and Steven Holloway had both filed to become the acting Orange County auditor. Atchison would have become Orange County auditor in January, because she won the Republican nomination in the May primary election and faced no opposition in this November's election.
Also, Jack Hinkle appointed Marshal Noble as the central committee treasurer.
