(ORLEANS) - September is about time the tourism picks up in rural Orange County.
With the changing of the weather and fall leaf viewing coming on more tourists will be visiting our area. How do you take advantage of these opportunities?
The Orleans Chamber of Commerce invites its business members and their guests to join them for a four part lecture series presented by Andrew Lambert, President of Lambert Consulting, LLC.
Mr. Lambert has already presented several lectures regarding holiday marketing and social media, and this time he looks to take you into what can be done to grow your business when the visitors come to town. Join us for "Driving Tourism To Your Front Door."
September 6th will talk about current avenues available to reach tourist, from using the Visitor's Bureau to working with the local media, to setting up special events, come out and join us for "Harnessing Those Tourism Dollars."
September 13th will dive into the world of customer service and hospitality. Making sure your company has a sound structure can be impacted with technology, good training, and how you and your employees should be greeting each customer. Join us for "Getting The Most Out Of Your Employees."
September 20th will focus on what you can do within your community. Using public relation tactics that discusses why partnering with another business or government agency can be positiviely felt by tourist. Come join us for a wide angle look at tourism in "Finding Partnerships That Benefit The Corporate Community."
September 27th will be the capstone to the four courses that encourages owners to get more involved in technology to drive tourist to your door. Looking at everything from a newsletter to social media, we will discuss why bad online presence can really hurt you company. Join the discussion in "Technology And Your Company: How, Why, and When To Use It."
Each session runs from 7 to 8 p.m. at OC REMC meeting room. The cost to attend all four sessions is $100 a person. To attend just one session, the cost will be $30 per person.
