(SEYMOUR) - Fear Fair in Seymour wants to scare up a few thousand votes as the world’s top haunt.
Selected from more than 4,000 haunted events in the United States, Fear Fair has been included in this year's list by the editors of Top Haunts Magazine.
Every year, the magazine narrows a list of top haunted attractions and includes them in their Top Haunts Voting Poll for a chance to be part of the Top 13 Haunts list, which is determined and ranked by popular vote.
Fear Fair is one of 23 haunted attractions seeking the title of Top Haunt. Votes are limited to once daily by IP address, so you can vote daily at tophaunts.com.
Fear Fair organizer Brett Hays said fans can visit the top haunts website at tophaunts.com, click on voting poll in the menu on the left, then click on the "click here to vote" link. The site uses Adobe Flash technology, so it will only work on computers and some Android smartphones.
The poll is open through Friday.
Fear Fair will open for its 12th season Sept. 21 and is a production of the Seymour Area Jaycees.
In the past three years, Fear Fair has funded defibrillators for Seymour Police Department cars and new playgrounds for Emerson and St. Ambrose Catholic elementary schools.
