(ORLEANS) - Touchstone Energy/OC REMC’s Orleans Summer Concert in the Park series wraps up its 2012 Season this coming Saturday night.
The popular event, in partnership with the Orleans Chamber of Commerce held each summer in historic Congress Square concludes with a special "Gospel Night" with a performance by Kate Henderson and "Fearless Delivery.
The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. (local time) in the southwest corner of the town park square. In case of rain the concert will be moved to the nearby Orleans Christian Church's Unity Hall.
Kate Henderson has been singing as long as she can remember, beginning with the children's choir at Little Mission Crusade for Christ and continuing right on through to today. She learned harmony singing with her Dad, John Conner, and sister, Debbie Woolston, in the car on trips. Her enthusiasm comes from her Mother, Marlene Conner, and the talent is God's gift.
Kate is well known for her musical theater work with Spring Mill Theatre, Little Theatre of Bedford, Washington County Actors Community Theatre, and Orange County Players - where she met her husband Johnny. Kate has served as Minister of Music for Mitchell First Baptist Church, Eastview Baptist Church in Paoli, and as Choir Director and Music Coordinator for Open Door Community Fellowship in Lousiville, Ky. Kate is currently Minister of Music at Lost River Baptist Church where she and Johnny now serve.
Kate recently participated in the Gospel Music Talent Search at the Gospel Music Jubilee at Bean Blossom, Indiana where she placed seventh out of twenty-two participants. Kate has a passion to share music and her love of the Lord in her music.
She is excited to be a part of the Touchstone Energy Concert in the Park series and to share the evening with "Fearless Delivery" this Saturday evening the 11th.
Fearless Delivery is a multi-talented group of musicians who enjoy music that's just a bit out of the ordinary. Their music is gospel. ranging in styles from blues and rock, to acoustic and old timey gospel, all with their own unique high energy twist.
