(UNDATED) - Indiana’s U.S. Senate race remains a dead heat according to two new polls.
Like others in recent weeks, both polls showed a voter preference gap between Republican state Treasurer Richard Mourdock and Democratic U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly that fell easily within their margins of error.
One conducted for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce by Market Research Insight showed Mourdock winning 41 percent, compared to 39 percent for Donnelly.
Another put the race at 45 percent for Donnelly to 43 percent for Mourdock. It was conducted for the Democratic group Majority PAC by the Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group.
Both polls included a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points, which means it's a really tight race.
