(BLOOMFIELD) - The Indiana Department of Transportation is announcing that State Road 157 near Bloomfield will be closing.
Beginning Monday, August 27, crews will be closing S.R. 157 for a structure replacement project.
The road will be closed to through traffic; however local traffic will have access to the point of closure, 5.7 miles north of S.R. 54.
The roadway will be closed 24 hours a day and is scheduled to re-open to traffic by the end of October.
The official detour will route traffic on S.R. 67, S.R 57 and S.R. 54.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.
