(BLOOMFIELD) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that beginning on or after Monday, August 27, State Road 45 (S.R. 45) in Greene County will close.
S.R. 45 will be closed from the junction of State Road 445 (S.R. 445) to the junction of State Road 54 (S.R. 54). Crews will begin work at approximately 7:00 a.m. local time, and it is anticipated to re-open to traffic the end of September, weather permitting.
S.R. 45 will close to allow for construction of the new connector road and interchange for I-69. No through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure.
The official detour will follow S.R. 445 and S.R. 54. Motorists should use caution while utilizing the detour as high volumes of traffic will be using this route.
INDOT encourages motorists to slow down and pay special attention while traveling in work zones throughout Indiana.
