(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Aquatics, Inc. will conduct their registration for the fall session for all new and returning on August 28th or August 30th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the BNL Pool for group assignment, registration, and season information.
New swimmers should report to the pool with suit and towel for an evaluation. New swimmers will need a copy of their birth certificate.
LCA offers instruction in the 4 competitive strokes from Beginner to Advanced.
All fall practices will be held in the evening at the BNL Pool beginning Sept 4th.
The cost to join is $50 is you hold a USA membership, if not its $56 and the purchase or sale of 1 trash bag which ranges from $13 to $20 dollars.
The group is once again holding their annual fundraiser by selling trash bags.
The funds generated are used to supplement the clubs costs.
For sale are 18 gallon over sized tall kitchen bags with 60 on a roll for $13; a roll of 100, 33 gallon black trash bags for $20 a roll.
Every member of LCA will be asked to sell at least 1 roll for the session. Anyone interested in purchasing trash bags can contact the club at their web site or any member of the team.
The club is also looking for a family to host an exchange student from Germany. The16-year-old girl is a competitive swimmer and diver. She had a host family, but the arrangement fell through and now she is looking for somewhere to stay, temporary or permanently.
The girl was to arrive in the U.S. in two weeks, but because she doesn't have a host family her Visa has been put on hold.
LCA is asking any swim families would be interested in hosting her to contact them.
