(SEYMOUR) - 22-year-old Adrian Green, of Indianapolis, was arrested on a firearms charge following a traffic stop on Interstate 65 near Seymour.
He was booked into Jackson County Jail Tuesday at 6:41 p.m. where he was held on $50,005 bond.
Green was arrested on charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; possession of marijuana; possession of paraphernalia; and false reporting or informing.
A passenger in Green's vehicle, 24-year-old Daniel Wells, of Indianapolis, also was arrested on a charge of false informing.
According to a news release, Green's arrest occurred during a traffic stop made by Trooper Randel Miller around 3:42 p.m. Tuesday three miles north of Seymour. Miller stopped Green for following another vehicle too closely.
During the stop, Miller found a loaded handgun, a substance he thought was marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Trooper Stephen Wheeles and his police dog, Kane, assisted with the investigation.
After his arrest, police discovered Green had a Marion County warrant for two counts of criminal confinement. He also has been convicted of carjacking and robbery.
