(PAOLI) - An Illinois man was injured when his motorcycle collided with a deer.
The crash occurred along State Road 37 south of Paoli.
According to an Orange County Sheriff's Department report, 60 year old Lloyd Weidner of Iola Illinois, was riding a 2009 AMF motorcycle north on State Road 37, when a deer came out of the tall grass on the east side of the roadway and hit the motorcycle.
The motorcycle was knocked over and spun around throwing Weidner off of the bike. The motorcycle then landed on his legs.
Following the crash, Weidner was transported to the South East Volunteer Fire Department, where he was picked up and flown by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital.
Weidner had minor facial injuries and was being treated for a concussion at the hospital.
