(MITCHELL) - 40-year-old Jamie Clemens, of Mitchell, was arrested after she allegedly punched a 14-year-old boy in the face several times Sunday night.
According to Mitchell Police Chief Mike Hardman, Clemens was in a vehicle with the teen and traveling on Hancock Avenue near the school when she allegedly began hitting the child in the face, took his glasses and broke them and threw them out the car window.
Police say the child is related to Clemens and that Clemens hit the child because she said "he was worthless."
Clemens was charged with battery on a minor resulting in injury.
