(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured after the vehicle they were in hit a utility pole at the intersection of O and 10th streets Thursday at 11:39 a.m.
According to a Bedford Police report, 38-year-old Hope Shelton, of Bedford, was just turning onto O Street from 10th Street when her 1997 GM van overheated causing the power steering to stop working, which caused the vehicle to swerve and hit the utility pole.
Hope complained of pain to her elbow and arm. Her son 8-year-old Cory Shelton, complained of head pain. Both refused medical treatment at the scene. Hope told police if Cory didn't feel better she would take him to the hospital.
