(PROSPECT) - Firefighters from a number of departments responded to a fire at Pendley Sawmill.
The sawmill is on Stevens Road, west of Prospect.
Owners of the sawmill say the fire had originally started around 4 p.m., but they could not control it on their own.
The fire was was reported to the Orange County Sheriff's Department at 7:32 p.m.
Orange County Rural District I Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene, with backup assistance coming from Orange County Rural District 2, Southeast Township, Livonia and West Baden volunteer fire departments.
Trucks from Shoals and English also were sent to the scene. TOPES also responded to provide assistance to the firefighters with beverages and food.
Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department received a request to provide extra manpower at 10:58 p.m
Firefighters said they had a grip on the fire and there were no reports of injuries. No residents had to be evacuated and no injuries were reported.
