Twin Rivers Bridge To Be Replaced With Culverts

(MITCHELL) - Lawrence County Bridge Project Manager Bob Dillon says the county will be replacing Twin Rivers Bridge with culverts.

Twin Rivers Bridge is located north of Mitchell. Dillon told the Lawrence County Commissioners Tuesday morning that the bridge is in bad shape.

Bridge inspectors say the bridge needs repaired and will not pass inspections in the future.

Crews will begin work sometime this week.

Dillon says currently the bridge has a 5 ton weight limit and school buses cannot cross it.

Once the bridge is replaced with culverts the road will be open to all traffic.
