(SOLSBERRY) - Two rural Bloomfield residents sent to the hospital after a one-vehicle crash Monday afternoon near Solsberry.
Indiana State Police say Chad Mobley's 2008 Volkswagen disregarded a double yellow line when he attempted to pass another vehicle driving up a hill on State Road 43, south of Wagner Road, about 3:20 p.m.
According to Indiana State Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Curt Durnil, when Mobley's car approached the top of the hill, he noticed a car heading towards him coming from the other direction. Mobley lost control of his Volkswagen and hit a utility pole.
29-year-old Mobley and his wife Rebecca Mobely, who was a passenger, both complained of pain and were transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
