(BEDFORD) - Two women were arrested after an incident at Wal-Mart Sunday afternoon.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, 34-year-old Erica Sanders, of Heltonville, was arrested and charged with theft after she attempted to return items she had allegedly stolen from the store for cash.
Parsley says while police were talking to Sanders, she told them there was a vehicle in the parking lot that had illegal drugs in it.
Officers found a spoon with burnt residue on it, a syringe and hydrocodone pills inside the car.
Police arrested 33-year-old Elizabeth Kean, of Bedford, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule ii controlled substance.
