(MITCHELL) - A woman was injured after she rear-ended another vehicle on Ind. 37 South near Gun Club Road Tuesday at 9:06 p.m.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 81-year-old Betty Crays, of French Lick was traveling south on Ind. 37 when she attempted to pass a 2010 Cadillac SRX driven by 28-year-old Tobie Rogers, of Mitchell.
Before Crays drove her 2009 Kia past Rogers' car she rear-ended the vehicle, then as she was passing she hit the Cadillac a second time.
Police say Crays had been issued a ticket for speed, just an hour before the accident in Bloomington. Crays was clocked doing 83 miles-per-hour in a 55 mile-per-hour zone.
Crays was taken to IU Paoli Hospital after complaining of pain to her chest and hand. Rogers was not injured.
Crays told police she shouldn't drive at night.
Lawrence County Police cited Crays for speed to fast to avoid a collision and following to close.
