(BEDFORD) - 28-year-old Andrew Stone, of Bedford, was arrested after he left the scene of an accident in the Wal-Mart parking lot early Sunday morning.
Stone was charged with possession of marijuana under 30 grams, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while never licensed, and cited for false or fictitious registration and failure to provide proof of insurance.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to Wal-Mart after a group of about 20 to 30 teenagers entered the store and were causing a disturbance.
"The manager escorted the teens out of the store and wanted officers to remove them from the lot," Parsley says. "When officers arrived they were flagged down by a shopper reporting a man in a dark full-size van had hit a parked car and fled the scene."
Officers stopped Stone on John Williams Boulevard.
Parsley says Stone's van hit a 2003 Ford Taurus owned by Eric Sluder, which was parked in the parking lot of Wal-Mart.
