(BEDFORD) - Oolitic Police arrested 34-year-old David Johnson, of Bedford, after police found a meth lab and chemicals to make the drug at his home.
Oolitic Marshal Jon Jefferies and Deputy Bill Allen went to the home at 421 Ike Underwood Lane Friday after receiving information about possible drug activity.
There they found an active meth lab and chemicals and other items associated with making meth.
"We also recovered 3 anhydrous tanks," Allen says. "We called in the ISP Meth Suppression Team to assist with the clean-up."
Johnson was charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth and reckless possession of paraphernalia.
Allen says meth is an epidemic in Lawrence County.
