(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was treated at IU Health Bedford Hospital after he told police he was attacked while he was in his yard early Sunday morning.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, the man was in his yard in the 1000 block of S Street around 1:44 a.m. getting his dog's bowls when someone jumped out from the bushes and attacked him.
"The man said he was hit from behind and knocked to the ground," Parsley says. "The suspect fled the scene."
The man was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
