(BROWNSTOWN) - A 17-year-old Brownstown teen is facing a slew of charges after being arrested at his home Wednesday night.
Brownstown Police were called to an address on Spring Street in regards to a battery in progress.
Officer Joe Kelly says when he arrived, a pair of juveniles had left the home and he found them at a home in the 500 block of South Poplar Street.
He says the teens smelled of burnt mairjuana.
After getting permission from the teens' parents police searched their bedroom of the teen that lived on Poplar Street.
Police found several packages of marijuana, codeine and Clonazepam tablets, baggies, scales, a small amount of cash and a Hi-Point 9mm handgun.
The 17-year old was arrested on a number of charges, including 'Dangerous Possession of a Firearm', 'Dealing Marijuana', 'Possession of Marijuana - Over 30 Grams', 'Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance' and 'Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance'.
