(BLOOMFIELD) - 24-year-old James Bradley Gardner, of Elnora, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of a Dugger man in a Sept. 1 bar room fight.
According to a Indiana State Police Detective, Gardner allegedly killed 51-year-old Richard Pigg, of Dugger in a fight at the Uptown Tavern in Dugger.
Pigg died at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. An autopsy revealed Pigg died from blunt force trauma to the head caused when he was allegedly punched in the face by Gardner. Pigg fell to the floor and suffered a skull fracture.
According to ISP Det. Tom Hanks Pigg was "knocked unconscious by one punch" and fell straight to the floor near a pool table.
Police say Gardner has been involved in other incidents at the same bar and is known to be involved in a gang known at the Saxon King.
