(BEDFORD) - The City of Bedford and the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce announce “Fall Clean Sweep Week” from Saturday, September 22nd - Monday, October 1st.
The Bedford City Sanitation Department will pick up residential items such as old tires, appliances, construction materials, carpet and other items that normally will not be collected.
Extra household trash will also be picked up anytime in moderation by calling, but must be in a separate pile from all other items.
City residents must call 279-9222 for pick-up.
The Chamber also invites the community to help in 2012 Fall Clean Sweep Week.
Volunteers can help make Bedford look great by picking up trash in their neighborhoods.
The Chamber will provide trash bags to interested parties. The City will then pick-up the trash that volunteers collected.
