(UNDATED) - In connection with the completion of the I-69 Corridor between Evansville and Crane, INDOT says it will provide access to section to I-69 for Community Day Celebrations on October 20.
INDOT Spokesman Cher Elliott said the day is to show appreciation to the local communities for their support.
Events will take place at five locations along the 67 mile corridor.
In Daviess County events are being planned at the U.S. 50/I-69 interchange at Washington and the State Road 58 interchange near Odon in Daviess County; in Greene County at the 231interchange; in Pike County near the State Road 61 interchange; and in Gibson County, at the interchange with State Road 64.
Elliott says everything from 5K run/walks, community pageants, to classic car shows have been mentioned. Each local community is planning its own celebration.
