(BEDFORD) - 56-year-old Emmanuel Barnes, of Bedford, was injured after he crashed his 2008 AMF Motorcycle Sunday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, when police arrived they found Barnes laying on his back in a pool of blood in the General Motor's parking lot.
His motorcycle was 25 yards away on its side.
Barnes, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered head, face and hand injuries and road rash on his arms. Barnes told police he was traveling south and approaching a parking aisle when he saw a vehicle approaching the main exit lane.
Barnes says the other vehicle was not going to stop before turning and hit the motorcycle.
Barnes was thrown from the motorcycle and the bike slid across the parking lot. However a witness, Tommy Law, of Trafalgar, told police he saw Barnes traveling south through the parking lot at a high-rate of speed.
He says he also saw the other vehicle, driven by Bobbi Lee Derheimer, of Switz City, which was not speeding and saw her stop the vehicle.
Law says Barnes locked up his brakes and was thrown from the bike
Derheimer told police she had stopped and that is when she saw Barnes coming toward her vehicle and Barnes swerved the bike to avoid a collision and was thrown from the bike.
