(BEDFORD) - A 19-year-old Bedford man told police that he met a woman in the 2600 block of R Street Friday morning with intentions of “purchasing services” from her, but ended up being mugged by four to five men.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says the man alleges he met the woman through Facebook and they agreed to meet in the early hours Friday.
However, when the woman walked him to the rear of a residence, four to five males were waiting. They jumped him and took his money.
Parsley says the exact amount of money stolen from the man isn't know, nor do police know whether the woman was using a fake name on her Facebook account.
The case remains under investigation.
