(MITCHELL) - The Persimmon Festival Road Rally will leave Mitchell High School at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Registration for the event starts at noon on the day of the event.
The cost is $8 per vehicle.
Participants will be given a step-by-step set of directions at the beginning of the road rally, telling them where to go and which way to turn, taking them on a scenic tour of Lawrence County.
Along the way, special instructions may ask participants to find specific items, creating a scavenger hunt theme.
Participants may also be asked to answer questions using landmarks along the route.
Those who finish the course closest to the predetermined time, answering the questions and finding the items, will win. Prizes will be awarded.
