(FRENCH LICK) - The Indiana Railway Museum in French Lick is looking for volunteers.
Anyone who finds allure in an old-time train depot and rail cars could help out. Teresa Richardson, says it takes severa volunteers to offer its train excursions and volunteers are needed in a lot of different areas and for special events.
Currently the museum has volunteers as young as 15 and as old as 80. The museum is a membership-based entity.
Some hands-on opportunities are available as volunteers can help work on tracks, cut trees, paint and help with restoration of the depot or rail cars.
Teresa, who also is executive secretary of the French Lick West Baden Chamber of Commerce, said the museum is one of a few places where volunteers are needed to help make the tourism-driven economy successful in French Lick and West Baden Springs.
She mentioned Historic Landmarks and the French Lick West Baden Museum as other options for would-be volunteers. To find out more, give Teresa a call at (812) 936-2405.
