(SALEM) - A Salem woman is facing a felony battery charge after allegedly attacking her daughter.
Christi L. Johnson, 33, is charged with battery on a person less than 14 years old, a Class D felony.
Stephanie Taylor Ferriell of the Leader Democrat reports that Johnson was arrested at her home Saturday.
Johnson told officers she wanted to take her kids and leave, but her longtime boyfriend would not let her. The report also says the daughter did not want to go with her mother.
Johnson became angry and allegedly struck both the girl and her boyfriend.
Officers found the girl hiding in a bedroom, crouched beside a dresser, tears in her eyes.

According to a Salem City Police report, Johnson was arrested at her home Saturday.
