(SEYMOUR) - The Seymour Police Department is working to stop a rash of thefts from vehicles. Residents have reported thefts of wallets, electronic devices, purses and cash.
Police Chief Bill Abbott said many of thefts could have been avoided if people would not make themselves easy targets.
Investigators strongly encourages motorists to hide any valuables or remove them from vehicles and Chief Abbott said to be proactive and call police if you see something or someone suspicious near vehicles.
