(JOHNSON COUNTY) - The number of cases of Syphilis, a sexually transmitted disease, is on the rise in Johnson County.
According to the Daily Journal, the Johnson County Health Department reported 25 confirmed or suspected cases of the disease.
County Health Officer Dr. Craig Moorman said the high number of cases are concerning and most of those infected are in their late teens to mid-20's.
