(SEYMOUR) - Two Jackson County men face robbery charges in connection with a holdup reported outside a pharmacy in Seymour.
23-year-old Jordan D. Mannix, of Crothersville and 22-year-old Steven A. McCormick, of Seymour were booked into Jackson County Jail in Brownstown early Wednesday on the Class B felony charge.
Mannix also faces a Class A felony charge of dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park.
Seymour Police Chief Craig Hayes says the investigation is still ongoing. and more charged could be pending.
Hayes says the men were found in Seymour late Tuesday night or early Wednesday, and while being questioned confessed to the robbery outside of the CVS Pharmacy at 201 East Tipton Street.
The couple told police they were leaving the pharmacy about 9:30 a.m. Monday when a man confronted them, displayed a weapon and demanded money.
The couple gave the robber an undetermined amount of cash and prescription medication they had just filled at CVS.
Hayes says McCormick told investigators that he drove the vehicle used in the robbery, while Mannix has said he was the man involved in the holdup.
Hayes says officers were searching that area just north of Seymour for the woman's purse.
