(BLOOMINGTON) - A 20-year-old Bloomington woman attempting to stop an altercation at a local group home was reportedly stabbed Sunday afternoon.
According to Bloomington Police Detective Lt. Bill Parker, following an argument, a 14-year-old boy involved in the fight went to the shelter's kitchen and retrieved a kitchen knife.
Police are not releasing the name of the shelter at this time.
The teen then returned to the victim and stabbed her in the thigh.
Parker says the boy was taken to the Southwestern Indiana Facility for Youth.
