(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are currently collecting evidence and pursuing leads after about $800 in tasers, tobacco products, pipes and personal safety alarms were robbed from a local food mart.
The IDS reports that a delivery driver pulled up to the front of John's Food Mart, 2002 S. Rogers St., when he reportedly realized the doorway frame was not intact and a cigarette stand lay inside the store.
Bloomington police arrived on the scene at about 2:14 a.m. Wednesday and the case remained active as of Thursday afternoon, BPD Detective Sgt. John Kovach said.
Kovach said the perpetrator emptied a display case containing $250 in tobacco, $180 in grinders, $60 worth of tasers, $8 in personal safety alarms in addition to $300 in pipes.
